We've yet to see Beth on The Walking Dead this season, but from the trailers it looks like she's being held captive at a hospital and guarded by slap-happy cops.
Now the mystery of who took her might have been solved... and the answer was right under our noses.
An eagle-eyed commenter over at Comicbook.com has spotted some huge similarities between Beth's predicament over at the hospital and the The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct, a much-maligned video game set in TWD universe.
In the game, which features Daryl and Merle as the main protagonists, there's a hospital called Cleburne Memorial. In it, survivors are still trying to find a cure to the virus - even if that means experimenting on people.
Here's The Walking Dead Wiki to fill in the blanks:
When the outbreak began, a government research crew took residence in Cleburne Memorial Hospital. The hospital had military protection that kept it operational. When Daryl arrives the hospital looking for antibiotics for Merle, he finds Noah, who was treated for his gunshot wound. He states that Anna is searching the morgue for supplies. Later he finds a doctor who had gone insane looking for a cure and is using Noah as a test subject. Daryl has the decision to chose to save Noah or not.
So far, so circumstantial.
However, things are about to get very interesting. You see, 'Everybody Hates Chris' star Tyler James has been cast in the new season and in the trailer can be spotted in the hospital with Beth.
The name of his character? Noah...
Nothing else is known about him at this stage, but if the show is really following the storyline of the video game, then Noah - and by that rationale Beth - might be some sort of human guinea pig, being cut up and experimented on in order to find a cure.
Hopefully we get the answer in next week's episode, "Slabtown."
