Well -- maybe?! Today, the official IMAX twitter account posted this:

The link leads to this article, which actually just details a rumor that the [Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice](movie:711870) trailer might premiere at the beginning of [The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies](movie:512312). The rumors have been flying around for a while now, with Christopher Nolan's [Interstellar](movie:813746) being another movie drifting in and out of speculation as the host of DC's massively anticipated preview.

Why would a major theater franchise confidently post an article about a rumor? While seems like the work of an overenthusiastic social media manager, the tweet was up for two hours, despite responses to the tweet that questioned it's authenticity.

Either movie would be a fairly great choice for the upcoming film's target audience: passionate, movie-going geeks. Couple that with the fact that sources said DC's trailer was fully completed last week (shortly after the trailer for [The Avengers: Age Of Ultron](movie:293035) dropped) and signaled for a November/December trailer release, November's Interstellar and December's Hobbit installment are both perfect fits. Will DC wait until December, though, with Interstellar's hype already reaching huge levels?

It's not really clear what IMAX's intentions were when it came to that tweet and link, but if they are to be believed, it seems we're going to get the trailer as a holiday treat.

Which movie do you want to see the trailer drop with?
