Hot off the heels of a tremendously buzzing week for Marvel which included everyone going nuts about the Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer and the big news about Benedict Cumberpatch possibly signing to be Doctor Strange. Marvel decided to fire back at DC with all the movies they plan on releasing until 2019!

Usually, this time of the week I'd be worrying about writing my review for The Walking Dead but I couldn't help it I had to talk about Marvel news!

So, if you haven't read it on one of the other million movie/comic sites covering the news here it is:

Captain America: Civil War will hit theaters on May 6, 2016.

Doctor Strange will arrive on November 4, 2016.

Guardians of the Galaxy 2 is due on May 5, 2017.

Thor: Ragnarok hits theaters on July 28, 2017.

Black Panther arrives on November 3, 2017 starring Chadwick Boseman.

Captain Marvel will be released on July 6, 2018.

Inhumans is coming on November 2, 2018.

Avengers: Infinity War - Part I arrives on May 4, 2018 followed by Part II on May 3, 2019.

First, let's talk briefly about some of the movies we already knew were coming. Number one on the list is Marvel solidifying that Cap 3 will indeed be Captain America: Civil War.

Earlier this month I wrote an article here about how I think Marvel rushing to make a Civil War movie may be a bad idea while building to Thanos and the Infinity War. Please click here to check out that article!

Anyways, let's jump to the other confirmation which was that Thor 3 will in fact be happening and the villain will be Ragnarok. Now, I'll admit I don't know much about that whole story and won't spoil what I read but it should be... interesting... Not exactly the movie I'm most looking forward to.

Next in line was Guardians of the Galaxy 2 being moved from July of 2017 to May of 2017. is this huge or heartbreaking news? Not at all. If anything this may actually be great news! Guardians being moved up to a May release date shows Marvel is confident with that particular franchise with in their franchise of movies and will release it the same time of year when they usually release movies like Avengers or an Iron Man.

By the way if you haven't seen my review of Guardians of the Galaxy please check the video above!

Next movie I'm only going to talk briefly about is Doctor Strange. This movie has had more rumors of actors playing the titular character then probably any superhero movie we've ever seen! I'm surprised Tom Hanks wasn't mentioned as a potential candidate with the list the size of Hulk.

Many of us were hoping they would give us 100% certainty that all the contracts are signed and Benedict Cumberpatch would be playing the Doctor but not today. I'm sure that'll come sooner rather than later considering the movie is coming out in just 2 years.

Let's jump on over to some of the news we didn't see coming! Black Panther is confirmed to be getting not only his own movie but he will make his debut next year in Captain America: Civil War. Also, much like Doctor Strange the casting rumors have gone wild over the years with all the potential stars who could play T'Challa.

Chadwick Boseman will be the Black Panther. I'll admit I haven't seen him in much but hey, I'd rather have that then be some celebrity always getting in trouble with the paparazzi.

In other news FINALLY Marvel will be doing a female lead superhero movie come 2018 with Captain Marvel. Let the speculation run wild on this character as well. What kind of actress will take the reigns and hopefully bring a female face to the franchise besides Scarlett Johansson.

I hate to say it because I love Marvel studios but I wonder if they decided to finally do this because DC announced Wonder Woman?

Please comment below with who you think will take on the role! I'm hoping for someone who isn't super well known and become a star from this film. Also, let's hope it's not some twig-looking super model (cough cough Gal Gadot cough.)

Lastly, that leaves us The Inhumans. Much like Black Panther, Doctor Strange and Captain Marvel I don't really know anything about the Inhumans. Since, this movie is one of the furthest away how long will we wait until casting is announced? With Marvel bringing in such a roster of actors and actresses to play these characters they will have to start snatching them up soon before DC gets to them. As an actor would you rather be say a new Green Lantern or someone from the Inhumans?

I only ask because much like Guardians of the Galaxy this year the Inhumans are a team that isn't super well known by the general audience. You ask anyone on the street they probably know Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Spider-Man, Captain America, Hulk and Iron Man. Can they name an Inhuman team member? Honestly, I can't and I'm a comic book nerd!

I hope for the best with all these movies. Marvel has one of the best track records out there way ahead of DC, Sony with Spider-Man and just ahead of Fox with X-Men.

By the way I know I didn't talk about the fact that Avengers: Infinity War Part's I and II but I'll probably need an entire article just for that!

Which movie are you most looking forward to? Who you think will be casted in the roles that haven't been announced? Comment below so we can discuss!
