Hearing about this show when it was announced and in the lead up to it’s premiere, it sounded interesting. Very Numb3rs-esqu.

I’ve now watched four episodes and don’t really have an interest in watching anymore.

The best parts of the show are the three sidekicks: Toby Curtis (Eddie Kaye Thomas), Happy Quinn (Jadyn Wong) and Sylvester Dodd (Ari Stidham). They are entertaining to watch, characters with flaws and skills without being arrogant douchebags!

The two reasons for not watching anymore? The two lead characters; Walter O’Brien and Paige Dineen.

Walter O’Brien (played by Elyes Gabel), leader of the group and one of the smartest people in the world and is a real arrogant D*CK!

Paige Dineen (played by Katharine McPhee) was introduced in the first episode as a waitress at the restaurant the Scorpion team commandeers, who learns from O’Brien that her son is not challenged like was first thought but a genius.

At the end of the episode, Paige was hired to join the team as the liaison between Scorpion and regular people. Three episodes with this new job and ??

It’s pretty hard to watch a TV show when you can’t stand the two lead actors!

Another thing that bugs me about the show is the consistency of the writing. Sylvester Dodd (Ari Stidham) has a major case of OCD but then he won’t. It seems he has it when drama is needed but when he actually goes to do something, it’s gone.

It seems in the last two or so episodes, has had side stories of Walter being a douche to his friends but then, of course, at the end of the episode they make up and all is good.

I won’t be watching anymore unless I hear that it’s improved or the more unlikely scenario that the leads leave.
