Ever since the start of Season 5 of [The Walking Dead](series:201193) there's been one pretty significant thing that I've been waiting for, namely: when the hell is Maggie going to start looking for her little sister? Doesn't it seem weird that Maggie wasn't jumping up and down to spread out a search party when Daryl was all too happy to take off in the dead of the night to follow a potential lead?

Well finally, during the latest The Talking Dead, shown after the Beth-centric "Slabtown" episode, some of the mystery surrounding Maggie's apathy was answered!

The Talking Dead host Chris Hardwick asked Beth a.k.a. Emily Kinney why she believed Maggie hadn't been out searching, she replied:

I don’t know. I think Maggie is just focused on surviving. They’ve all been through a lot and lost a lot of people, and I think she’s just really focused on what she needs to do at the moment. So that’s why…she hasn't really had a lot of time to like go…

Right that kind of makes sense - especially after the brutal killing of their father Hershel, right in front of their eyes, if you hadn't already developed a sense of self preservation then that would definitely do it.

Hardwick then asked, “You don’t think Beth would be like, 'It’s just like before the apocalypse. You care about your boyfriends more than your sister.'” To which Kinney responded:

Yeah, I mean that kind of happens, doesn't that? I have an older sister, and I feel like I remember, yeah, she always cared about her boyfriend, you know. I sort of get it.

Ah, sisters! I guess Maggie and Glenn have a pretty close bond, and in a post-apocalyptic world it's a safer bet to stay with the loved one you have then go looking for a loved one who could literally be anywhere.

It's a dog-eat-dog world out there, Beth! But, no matter what Maggie has or hasn't done in the search to find her sister, I'm sure they would both be very happy to find the other safe and happy.

Hopefully we get another emotional reunion on a Daryl and Carol level at some point in the season, I need the whole gang back together again!

Do you think Beth and Maggie will be reunited?
