Cast your minds back to the halcyon days of 1982. The Friday the 13th franchise was in its prime, and even the third installment made over $36 million from a $2.5 mil budget.

But what we were given in theaters was only one version of the story! Yes, Friday the 13th III originally had a very, very different ending, which longtime horror film alum Billy Kirkus revealed at the official Friday the 13th site.

Recap: In the original, Chris Higgins (played by Dana Kimmell) is plagued by Jason dreams, also dreaming that a moldy old Momma Voorhees bursts out of the lake and pulls her under. Meanwhile, Jason is super-dead on the floor of a barn (pictured above).

However, in the original ending, Jason had the last laugh...
