Gotham has already introduced a nice chunk of Batman's rogues gallery, including the Penguin, Catwoman, the Riddler, Carmine Falcone, Salvatore Maroni, Harvey Dent, and Victor Zsasz. There are also plans to bring Mr. Freeze into the mix, and have teased an appearance by the Joker on numerous occasions. Well, now it looks like one more name can be added to the list - Scarecrow!
Executive producer Danny Cannon revealed at Comikaze that the show's writers are hard at work on an episode that is set to introduce Jonathan Crane to the world of Gotham.
Said Cannon: "We're breaking the story now, the villain will be seen as a child, before he takes on the Scarecrow moniker. In fact, it's something that will be passed on to him from his father, which will create an eventual enemy for Batman while still having an adversary for Jim Gordon."
Okay, so this means he won't start out as the DC Comics character fans have come to know - at first. In addition, it sounds as though Crane's father will end up being quite the adversary for Jim Gordon. This will be the second live-action version of the character to be seen, the first being the version Christopher Nolan introduced in his critically acclaimed Dark Knight trilogy.
