So, let's say you're heading to a comic-con of some sort. You've spent all month preparing your costume, you've sewn a ridiculous number of pockets onto your utility belt, and you've recruited a small child to play Robin.

In short, you're Batman.

And so, excited, but strangely full of gloomy, Bat-fueled nerves, you arrive at the 'con, and start to make your way around. You make sure that no-one needs any Batman-related assistance. You check that any cosplay Commissioner Gordon's haven't activated their Bat-signals. You take a few pictures with adoring fans.

And then, this happens:

Yup, you walk around a corner, and - as was recently documented by an intrepid Reddit user - watch as a well dressed couple run up to you, yell 'son,' and then fall down to the ground exactly like this picture.

Or, in other words, you watch as two cosplayers completely win at Batman - in just about the darkest (and greatest) way possible.

But y'know what? That's not going to stop the bubbling, frothing tsunami of feelings that's making its way to your very heart at that exact same moment.

Forget Sad Batman...

Forget double Sad Batman...

Forget triple Sad Batman...

This...this is watching Bruce Wayne's parents die in front of you level of Sad Batman - and there is no meme strong enough to express that level of emotion.

Not even this one...
Not even this one...

We're talking straight up comic-book sadness, here...

And no amount of awesomeness can ever dry those tears...

Actually, wait...

...It totally can.

I mean, just look at them...They're just so awesome...

Take a bow, mysterious, Thomas and Martha Wayne-impersonating Bat-Cosplay ers. You're officially awesome.

What do you guys think, though?
