Yesterday I speculated as to who would replace Christian Bale to play the role of Steve Jobs in Danny Boyle's upcoming biopic about the Apple entrepreneur. Now it seems we have our answer.

I suggested James Franco, Benedict Cumberbatch and Woody Harrelson as three possible candidates for the part, but it turns out Sony has approached another Hollywood a-lister:

The metal-bending Magneto, Michael Fassbender!

Earlier today Variety reported that:

Michael Fassbender is in early talks to play 'Jobs'

Keep in mind that Bale and DiCaprio were also in 'early talks' for the same role, and we know how both of those ended. Nonetheless, I'm excited to hear Fassbender is being considered! He put in a storming performance as Edwin Epps in 12 Years A Slave and I'm intrigued to see what the German-Irish actor could bring to this challenging role.

Do you think Fassbender is right for the role?
