It's been a little over 2 weeks now since Marvel released the very first trailer for the highly anticipated Joss Whedon follow up to 2012's The Avengers. Avengers 2 : Age of Ultron is poised to set all kinds of domination come May 2015 and will literally destroy the box office. Is that the only destruction we can hope for though? Of course not!

Ultron is an A.I. created by Tony Stark (in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, because in the comics, his creator is Hank Pym aka Antman) after a dormant peace program has been awoken. After becoming sentient, he realizes that the human race is only a danger to itself and can only be saved by being destroyed. He becomes hellbent on carrying out his mission and will leave a path of destruction in his wake.

OK I'm done preaching. That is basically what will happen in the film. Oh oh spoiler alert blah blah blah.

Here is where and when I think the destruction will take place. I did a lot of thinking about how the events will occur and how the locations add up, and I think I have narrowed it down. Honestly, it all made sense to me after last night.

ABC aired a special last night called Marvel: 75 Years, From Pulp to Pop! During the one hour block, they went into grave detail about how Marvel has evolved during the years from comic to the silver screen. There was one segment that caught all of our eyes though, and that was the behind the scenes footage of [Ant-Man](movie:9048) and Avengers 2: Age of Ultron:

Now this is what had intrigued me - especially after reading Peter Matthew's article today about Ultron decimating an entire city. I think it is very possible that maybe Whedon is adopting some variation of this story. When the very first Avengers 2 trailer was released, there were many scenes of destruction. More notably, there were 2 that brought it more to the foreground. There was first a shot of Captain America with his back to the camera, slowly walking the streets of ruins:

Man I'm too old for this ish!

And the other is this shot of Elizabeth Olsen's character Scarlet Witch screaming with pure rage looking very pissed off:

Hold up let's zoom out so you can see the mess that looks like my living room right now after my 2 1/2 year old got done with it:

"Did I do thaaaat?" Don't get the reference?
"Did I do thaaaat?" Don't get the reference?

There we go! Now what Matthew's says is that:

Initially designed in order to protect any future threats to humanity, the paradox which causes Ultron to malfunction is that, ultimately, humanity is it's own greatest threat. Human beings start wars, spread disease, destroy natural environments and always will. Ultron's conclusion? Wipeout mankind, starting with the fictional Balkan nation of Slorenia, which he decimates in just three hours. - Peter Matthews

Holy shit! Sorry, my apologies, let me get my self together. But DAMN! Dude is crazy!

And I think I am inclined to agree. There are many scenes of the trailer that hints to this, but I know what you are going to say to me. "Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver (played by Aaron-Taylor Johnson) are standing side by side with Ultron. What you talkin bout Shaun?" Yes you are correct, but there is a scene from the first trailer that has been cropped and, with last night's reveal, it is complete.

It's about to go down!

I count 4 there, not just Scarlet. In the background there is Hawkeye, played by Jeremy Renner. To the right, it looks to be the arm of Captain America aka Chris Evans, and look to the left. Who could that be?

Yup it's him! - via Superheroreport

Is that Paul Bettany's Vision?!?!

Yes Piloteers, it is! This very scene, I think, takes place the same time we saw the shot of Thor, [Black Widow](movie:1070824), Captain America and Hawkeye standing in shock and awe.

Look at the surroundings. The windows, the arch in the windows, and the pillars are made of the same stone.

Is this what sets Scarlet over the edge that pits her and her brother Quicksilver against Ultron? Did Ultron kill off citizens of their home town during his conquest? It could be possible that Joss Whedon is mix matching, and instead of using Slorenians as Ultron's mass victims, he could be using Sokovian's. It isn't that far of a stretch. Marvel have always tweaked certain aspects of the comics while staying within the parameters of the source material. Not to say that they will murder off an entire city in Avengers 2 Age of Ultron. I know it will be dark, but I don't know if they will carry it that far. I do however think, that there will be some variation to the effect of a LOT of body bags.

I love it when things start to come together. Marvel's [The Avengers: Age Of Ultron](movie:293035) is set to blow up the theaters globally come May 2015. I just hope we are ready!
