With the second trailer being released to the public today, (see bottom) 'Into the Woods' director Rob Marshall (Chicago) has success on his Christmas list, hoping audiences will give thumbs up to his adaptation on the Tony award winning Broadway musical in light of the festive season.

Concentrating on popular Grimm stories 'Little Red Riding Hood', 'Cinderella', 'Jack and the Beanstalk' and more, a dynamic, ensemble cast is growing more attractive with each insight, relieved that Johnny Depp has managed to bag himself another abstract roll, this time without the super glue leadership of buddy Tim Burton.

Appreciating the reprise of renowned musical actors, Meryl Streep and Anna Kendrick, not so familiar stars with a set of lungs, Emily Blunt, Chris Pine and Mr Depp - Sweeney Todd has almost been forgotten- could be a stepping stone or a divide to their career, that has the potential to leave our ears sore or let our ears soar. Eyebrows do raise to the appearance of James Corden in the line-up, no doubt of his singing abilities, however should Kittens be in the same pen as Lions?

'Into the Woods' should bring a cooling change to the usual Christmas releases, as the trailer promises colorful and enchanting scenery, hearty sing-a-long's and a sophisticated embrace to Disney's first Broadway adaptation thanks to an all star cast and visionary nostalgia.

'Into the Woods' is out in cinema's December 25th, 2014
