With just little over a year until the most anticipated film of 2015 hits the screen, we are given the official title for the upcoming Star Wars sequel and it is "Star Wars: The Force Awakens".

The official Star Wars Twitter profile broke the news earlier today and let all of us know what the official title will be. There is no "Episode VII" in this title as of yet but that doesn't mean that trend will end with "The Force Awakens", as a life long fan, I hope we do get "Episode VII" in the title.

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" has now officially wrapped shooting and will be going into post production very soon, getting this title now could mean we may get an Episode VII teaser very, very soon! Perhaps it will be shown in front of Disney's "Into The Woods" which releases this Christmas or perhaps on December 18th 2014, exactly a year before the film's release.

This will be the first Star Wars film that incorporates "Force" into its title, seems a little strange seeing that the Force is one of the most prominent elements of the films.

So what does this title mean? "The Force Awakens"...what could that mean? Well at the end of "Return Of The Jedi" the Sith are gone, the Emperor has been vanquished and the Rebel Alliance has prevailed. But of course there can't be a Star Wars film without the Sith in one form or another, a new enemy will be present in the film and its obvious that he or she will be of the Sith persuasion. The force is a power that can be used for good and more efficiently for evil. This title hints that someone powerful will become one with the force and either use their abilities for good or for evil.

In case you don't want to know anything about "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" I recommend you stop reading now, this rumor may spoil the movie for you, so SPOILER ALERT!

There is a rumor going round the web that Luke Skywalker, the last remaining Jedi has gone into hiding because he is the only one who is using the force and he becomes so overwhelmed by his power that he's afraid they may lead him on a darker path. John Boyega (who is rumored to be a runaway Stormtrooper) and Daisy Ridley (the supposed lead character) go on the search for Luke along with Chewbacca and Han Solo.

At first the title doesn't really roll of the tongue well but in comparison with the other titles, its fits in well:

Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace

Star Wars Episode II: Attack Of The Clones

Star Wars Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith

Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope

Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back

Star Wars Episode VI: Return Of The Jedi

Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens

I think it fits in very well with the other titles and it gets me even more excited for the film to be released. How about you guys, are you a fan of the title or would you have preferred something a bit darker and more mysterious?
