As if the multi-billion dollar franchise needed anymore success, let's add a stage production to the mix!

Brought to us by the kind people at Lionsgate, Imagine Nation and Triangular Entertainment, the Hunger Games theatrical experience will make its summer 2016 debut premiere in London next to Wembley Stadium in a specially built theater and will feature "innovative and immersive staging techniques." Despite the controversy this announcement will undoubtedly spark, producer Robin de Levita is confident that "the theater is a fantastic medium to bring the many meaningful layers of Suzanne Collins's writing to life."

People have even gone as far as speculating a potential cast for the production!

Jennifer Damiano as Katniss Everdeen

Jonathan Groff as Peeta Mellark

Jeremy Jordan as Gale Hawthorne

Kristin Chenoweth as Effie Trinket

Marc Kudisch as Haymitch Abernathy

Gavin Creel as Cinna

Alan Cumming as Caesar Flickerman

Frank Langella as President Snow

With 80 billion book copies sold and raking in $1.5 billion at the box office with just the first two film installments alone, Suzanne Collin's Hunger Games has truly taken the world by storm...but will it be able to take over the stage?
