Fans of Star Wars have been examining every piece of leaked information from Star Wars Episode 7 and trying to learn what they can of the plot of J.J. Abrams movie - and, while nothing is confirmed, a pretty good picture is starting to develop, at least of the start of the movie.

You should be warned, though, beyond this point lie major:

Star Wars Episode 7 Plot SPOILERS!

So, before we turn to the new information, let's sum up what we know so far.

First up, the start of the movie - somewhat like the start of Star Wars Episode 4 - will see us introduced to a character living on a sandy planet far away from the centre of the galaxy? Has Luke Skywalker returned to Tatooine? No, this is Daisy Ridley's character, who works as a scrapper and stores her spaceship on a downed AT-AT.

Kira's home, underneath an AT-AT?
Kira's home, underneath an AT-AT?

One day, as part of her work working with the Junk of the fallen Empire, she finds something she has not seen before - a lightsaber, specifically, it is the lightsaber Luke dropped when his hand was chopped off in The Empire Strikes Back.

There is an old drunk who sees her find this Jedi relic - a shady cyborg character belived to be played by Max von Snydow. Kira (Daisy Ridley's character) thinks nothing of showing this man her find, but she should know better. Von Snydow's character soon makes a call, telling a mysterious, unknown presence: It's here.

Where exactly Kira finds the lightsaber is not yet 100% clear, but the Jedi sword is not the only new arrival in Kira's life. It is believed that she also now comes across a crashed, half-destroyed TIE fighter - and in that spaceship she finds the character who will be played by John Boyega.

Is this how John Boyega's character arrives?
Is this how John Boyega's character arrives?

Whether is it John Boyega's character who brings the lightsaber is not certain, but it does seem like, despite arriving in a TIE fighter, Boyega will play a sympathetic character, potentially, even someone on the run from the Imperial forces.

That is the background - the new scene, recently leaked online, also takes place on this forlorn, sandy planet. A new image showing what this place might look like in Star Wars Episode 7 was also just released:

Will this town go up in flames?
Will this town go up in flames?

The scene something that resembles an Imperial Shuttle landing on this sandy planet (which may or may not be Tatooine). The spaceship's wings fold up as it lands, and a ramp descends.

Two stormtroopers are the first to leave the ship, but they are soon followed by a figure in black - someone who has been speculated to be either the "Inquisitor" character, or the "Darth Revan" character - of course, those two could be one and the same person.

Is this the villain hunting John Boyega?

After stepping out from the Imperial Shuttle, the stormtroopers begin to set alight the entire town they land in using flamethrowers. The figure in black stands and watches, approvingly.

Are they hunting Boyega, like when Luke's hometown was set alight in A New Hope? Have they been brought to the planet by the call made by the Max von Snydow's cyborg?

What do you think? Is this going to be the opening to Star Wars Episode 7? Who is the figure in black? Write in with all your own thoughts and speculations below the line for [Star Wars: Episode VII — The Force Awakens](movie:711158)!
