Who say's that charity events have to be boring? Well, the Desert Southwest Chapter of JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) had a different mission in mind for their black tie fundraising event. A 007 James Bond themed event named 'One Night license To Cure'. More than $700,000 Raised

Ryan Crain the artists and creative force behind the event really wanted to push the charity event limits. "Once the 007 theme was decided on, the ideas started flowing out as fast as my lips could speak them. While keeping it classy and fun I wanted to do more than just boring clip art silhouettes. I really wanted this to be a Hollywood caliber event with the marketing materials to match", Ryan said.

ONE NIGHT – License To Cure was unforgettable Saturday, November 8, 2014 at the Omni Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Montelucia. Our Secret Agents came together generously to turn Type One into Type None.

James Bond welcomed 450 excited guests and comedian, Frank Caliendo closed the evening with his trademark impressions. Fund A Cure Speaker and teenager, Haley Maurice, captivated the audience as she spoke of her 221 mile hike up Mt. Whitney this summer to raise funds for JDRF, while managing type 1 diabetes.



The Live Auction garnered enthusiasm and hit packages included 9 days of VIP admission for the Barrett-Jackson Auto Auction, an Australian labradoodle puppy and mini-vacations to the Primetime Emmy Awards and a taping of Jimmy Kimmel Live.
JDRF is fortunate for passionate guests and volunteers that made the event possible. All donations from Fund A Cure will be applied to Encapsulation – an exciting field of diabetes research with current human clinical trials.

Turn Type One into Type None.
