If you have read a some of my posts (or seen The Amazing Spider-Man 2), you'd know that Sony doesn't have a clue as to what they're doing in reference to their Spider-Man franchise.

Now they've without a doubt proven it. According to Movieweb they are actually considering a movie based on Aunt May that not only doesn't have Spider-Man in it, but that she's a spy!

If this is true–their source is Latino Review, which has a pretty good, though mixed, record as far as their predictions go–then Sony's ineptitude is far greater than I could have possibly imagined.

And that's not to imply that I don't like Aunt May as a supporting character (she's pretty awesome) but it's her relationship to Peter Parker/Spider-Man that makes her so interesting.

Take that relationship away, you're left with something, though what that something is, I have no idea.
