With the recent release of Big Hero 6, and, with it, the arrival of the first animated Marvel movie to theaters, there's really no better time to contemplate the potential awesomeness of a collaboration between Marvel and some of the world's finest animators. And, as it just so happens, a whole lot of them happen to work at Pixar, which also just so happens to be part of the expanded Disney family...

Which means that the prospect of a Pixar/Marvel crossover isn't quite as out there as you might think - which makes the existence of character designer Phil Postma's awesome Marvel/Pixar mashup art all the more bad-ass...

Especially as it includes...

The Irredoubtable Iron Man

Proving that Robert Downey Jr. is awesome in any form - even animation.

Captain America Tearing Hydra a New One

In chillingly shiny fashion...

The Hulk Taking on an Old Friend

Though this time it's The Thing, rather than Tony Stark in Hulkbuster armor...

Thor Being Bad-Ass

Though, what else were you expecting?

Black Widow Being as Seductive as Usual

Though, again, what else were you expecting?

Hawkeye Being Cooler than Usual

Although equally angry...

Ant-Man Even Makes an Appearance

Despite not even being in The Avengers...yet.

As Does His Alter Ego, Giant Man

Who we'll hopefully be seeing in the MCU before long...

There are also, of course, a few classic Marvel villains...

MODOK, Who May Never Make it to the Movies

Which is clearly a shame...

And The Red Skull, Who Totally Did

Although, admittedly, that was largely to get his ass handed to him by...

Howard Stark and Cap, the Classic Dream Team

And, of course, tying it all together...

Nick Fury, the Man, the Myth, the Legend

And you know what? I would totally kill to see that movie...

You can also see a whole lot more of Phil Postma's awesome work right here...

What do you guys think?
