In Miles Morales Ultimate Spider-Man #7, Peter Parker and Miles Morales team up to take down their “father”, Norman Osborn aka the Green Goblin, once and for all. 85% of this issue is an extended fight scene, but artist David Marquez and colorist Justin Ponsor make sure it is the Spidey/Goblin battle to end all battles with inventive uses of panel symmetry, intense colors, and other techniques. And Brian Michael Bendis continues to show why Miles Morales is the definitive replacement for Peter Parker as Spider-Man when he takes the lead against Osborn through his actions and not just his words. Bendis and Marquez blend superheroics and emotion in the patented Ultimate Spider-Man way and use the reactions and interactions with supporting characters like Aunt May and Maria Hill to ground the Spider-Men as people.
