DICE has some serious expectations placed upon their shoulders for this game! They are going to have to please, not only fans of the two previous Battlefront games, but the fans of the entire Star Wars universe. Wow. I certainly wouldn't feel comfortable with that much weight laid upon me. But DICE pushed and pushed for the opportunity to make this game, so let's hope they succeed.
Ever fan I'm sure has their own ideas of what they would like out of the Star Wars Battlefront game. As a fan myself, I thought I'd take a look at what my dream vision of this game would be. Be sure to let me know what you want from Star Wars: Battlefront in the comments!

Star Wars: Battlefront 3 - What We Want to See!
Don't Force FPS
Look DICE, we know that you love you're first person shooters, but that's not what Battlefront is about. If this perspective is forced upon us, there are going to be a hell of a lot of disappointed fans out there! We want to be able to see the fact that we are playing as a stormtrooper or a Jedi, not just a gun or a blinding saber in the right hand side of the screen. If it's in the game, make it optional please!
Unique Units & Factions
Oh yeah, I want every single player to have their own unique unit, whether it be a rebel alliance soldier or a droideka. I'm not just talking about classes, every stormtrooper or any other individual could have a few different kinds of battle armour that the player could select or perhaps unlock as they level up.
I for one would like to see all of the previous factions return, along with those that will assumedly be tied in with the new Star Wars movie. So that means we need the old Rebel Alliance and the Clone Wars droids in there, as well as whatever kind of faction that [Star Wars: Episode VII — The Force Awakens](movie:711158) has in store for us!
Heroes & Locations
Heroes was an excellent addition to Star Wars: Battlefront 2. The Jedi and Sith gave an intriguing pace change to the game. Sure they were ridiculously overpowered and changed the game into a hack-and-slash mesh-up for a minute or so, but this was a change of gameplay that I admired. There's no problem with diversity.
Speaking of diversity, the locations and maps should be as varied as possible. It's wonderful to see that DICE have put so much effort into recreating the locations from the original films, but we also want to see them come up with maps and worlds of their own, as they are renowned for their exceptional map design.
This needs to be vastly improved upon. This addition blew my mind way back when, and to be able to fly around freely in space on NextGen would be a dream come true! Though I almost feel like I'd be cheated if space and ground combat weren't integrated in Battlefront 3. I want to be able to capture a command post on the ground and then hop into an X-Wing and take off into space where a number of players are fighting too.
This would greatly expand upon the air combat that features in the Battlefield games. Oh speaking of Battlefield, though I really hope DICE don't model their Star Wars game after it, there are some features I'd love to see!
64 player combat. Oh, just imagine it in Battlefront. Not only that, but destructible environments. Battlefield 4 had that great idea where the map changed based on how players progressed through it. A tower would fall down, or the water level would start to rise after a certain base was captured.
In Star Wars Battlefront 3, I'd love it if players who destroyed something in space resulted in it crashing down onto the map below where others players are taking command posts. Imagine an enormous ship crash landing on the map in front of you or at least its debris falling all around. So yeah, destructible environments, that would be beautiful. Oh and naturally, this means that I desperately need serious online co-operative play!
Now I mean a REAL campaign. DICE's campaign in Battlefield 4 was an absolute waste of time. They should have spent more time fixing the bugs and issues with their online play and included all of the DLC that has since been released and had it all in the game on launch without the damned campaign. But In Star Wars: Battlefront, we need a good campaign.
Whether they can create one great adventure that requires us to change from faction to faction throughout the story, or have well developed campaigns for each faction, I don't really mind. I just need a good campaign from you DICE.
