Pop culture takes on new shapes as the years go by, but the values of pop culture, at its core, is constant. When surveying the pop culture landscape of today we need look no further than the widely popular “The Hunger Games” trilogy. “The Hunger Games” trilogy first sprang into author Suzanne Collins’ head one night when she was flipping between reality television and the news. The news depicted scenes of war, and so Collins’ had the brilliant idea of merging war and entertainment, and the rest is history.
