As Star Wars Celebration gears up for it's first show in the U.S. since 2012, fans are gushing over the creative new poster for the show, which was released this week. Depicting Han, Leia, Darth Vader, a Stormtrooper, and a showdown in space, the poster is a gorgeous dedication to some of the key characters from the original trilogy. Not to be confused with Disney's Star Wars Weekends, Star Wars Celebration started as fan gatherings to celebrate new Star Wars films, starting with The Phantom Menace in 1999.

The show's first venture back to the U.S. puts them directly across the street from Disneyland at the Anaheim Convention Center (home to Blizzcon, D23, and Wondercon). It's in April of 2015, and with the show's history of celebrity appearances, it's sure to be a big one. Get your info and tickets here!

With Star Wars Celebrations being such a central point when it comes to the fandom from a galaxy far, far away, it's pretty safe to assume that we'll see artwork from fans available for show and print. Since the show takes place half a year before The Force Awakens, you can expect a ton of posters for Episode VII. Here's a round-up of my favorite fan-made posters for the franchise.

A New Hope by 3ft Deep

The Empire Strikes Back by Marcus

Return of the Jedi by Andy Helms

As you can tell, I'm a fan of pretty, minimalist posters. Let's keep the party goin' for the prequels!

The Phantom Menace by Travis English

Attack of the Clones by Olly Moss

Revenge of the Sith by Drew Roberts

We've already seen several incredible fan posters for Episode VII, but I have a feeling we're going to see a lot more come spring of next year... see you at the Celebration!
