Rush actor Daniel Bruhl has joined the cast of Marvel's Captain America: Civil War, which will hit cinemas May 6th, 2016.
Bruhl, who will play the film's villain, earned Golden Globe, SAG, BAFTA and Critics’ Choice nominations for his role as Niki Lauda in director Ron Howard’s Rush. He now joins Chris Evans (Captain America), Robert Downey, Jr. (Iron Man), and Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther) in Captain America: Civil War, with Joe and Anthony Russo returning to direct after this year's Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
“With Daniel's ability to deliver intense, nuanced performances, we knew we had found yet another great actor to share the screen with some of our biggest heroes,” said Producer Kevin Feige.
Well, that is all well and good. Bruhl was great in Rush, and we're sure he'll be a welcome addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The only question is: Who is this guy playing?
Anyone care to hazard a guess?
