Doctor Strange, the Marvel Studios feature film focused on the international man of magic will hit theatres November 4th, 2016, the production company announced today during a special event in Los Angeles. The movie was originally scheduled to premiere in July 2016.

At the special event, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige was asked about the Benedict Cumberbatch casting report during a Q&A following the presentation. Feige said, "If it was confirmed, we would have announced it today".

He was also asked to give a few details about the upcoming film. Kevin Feige is quoted as saying:

The idea of this film is to open up a whole new corner of the cinematic universe. We want to enter, through Strange, the world of parallel dimensions," said Feige, according to Marvel.

The delays could be due to the fact they can't nail down an actor for the role. They have been through so many names, ranging from Joaquin Phoenix, Ethan Hawke, Keanu Reeves, and still haven't managed to find someone. I guess time will tell.
