Now, when it comes to horror movies, two monsters aren't always better than one. For every classic Hammer Horror pitting two classic monsters against each other, there's at least one horrifyingly awkward wedging together of two horror icons.

Hopefully, though, the upcoming Frankenstein vs. The Mummy, directed by Damien Leone, will fall into the former category.

Now, in fairness, the movie - which stars Robert MacNaughton, Ashton Leigh, Max Rhyser, Brandon deSpain, and Constantin Tripes - sounds like it has an intriguingly peculiar take on the traditional mythos, which is promising, but whether it can match the classics from the '60s (to say nothing of the '30s) remains to be seen.

Take a look at the synopsis and poster, though, and let us know what you think...

"Dr. Victor Frankenstein and Egyptologist Naihla Khalil are both professors at a leading medical university. Victor’s latest grisly “experiment” is the re-animated corpse of a sadistic madman, and Naihla’s most recent find is the cursed mummy of an evil pharaoh. When the two monsters face-off in an epic showdown, no one is safe from the slaughter. Can the murderous rampage be stopped and the carnage contained before it’s too late?"

So - what do you guys think?
