Television and film producers love nothing more than taking an historical character (you can't copyright history!) and giving them a sexy 21st century makeover complete with CGI, fight scenes and lovemaking.
That's what Netflix has done with their upcoming historical epic, Marco Polo. Netflix certainly has high-hopes for the series, since they poured over $90 million into the venture and hired Kon Tiki and Pirates of the Caribbean 5 directors Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg to direct and executive produce.
Now they've released a first trailer showing Marco Polo in a strange foreign land. Check it out below:
