At the New York City, [The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1](movie:446261), premiere and press junket, Jennifer Lawrence once again proves why she's one of the most lovable people in Hollywood. Her co-stars even rally at her side and dismiss some of her faults, J-Law admittedly eats sandwiches with mustard and onions right before a kissing scene, and coincidentally, forgot to brush her teeth that day! When asked at the conference, Jen cheekily replies, "What the hell! That's just how I smell."
It makes sense that Jennifer would be so close with her co-stars who have been in the previous Hunger Games movies. The stars spoke about the cost of fame; the loss of anonymity is hardest for Josh Hutchenson but also a strengthener for Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth, and his' friendship.
"The three of us are so close because we kind of grew up in all this craziness together." -Josh Hutcherson
"I just never assume a man this good looking (points at Liam) could ever be my best friend. I just never assumed those things could happen." -Jennifer Lawrence
Not only is the chemistry on film magnetic but all of the stars expressed feelings of fellowship and felt an emotional riptide during the last few weeks of filming, especially, the big trio.
"I think the last couple of weeks we started realize it was going to finish...Towards the end it was really emotional." - Liam Hemsworth
"Realizing that when this was over, we weren't going to come back and have each other... If all I had was this friendship with Josh and Liam. Like, if that was all I got from this. Then I would be the happiest person in the entire world and my greatest blessing that I got to, you know, our lives changed together... Everyone, the cast, just got along so well. I've never seen anything like it come together so beautifully with no ego... It was sad to see that go." - Jennifer Lawrence
It should come to no one's surprise that Jennifer Lawrence's personality is as wonderful as the media presents her to be. For someone who is always being thrown into the spot light, she constantly remained humble, and in times, seemed somewhat nervous. She never once sought to steal the spotlight from any of her co-stars and constantly attempted to pass the spotlight away from her to them. At one point, she reprimanded Josh for not speaking up and taking the spotlight from her sooner when she was having troubles answering a tough question.
One question in particular Jen had trouble answering, "How are you linked with your character, you both are the center for attention. How do you feel connected with her?"
"Um, I always get nervous making comparisons because Katniss is the leader of the rebellion that changes the world...Um, and I'm... You know, just chillin'." - Jennifer Lawrence
Noticing her obvious discomfort with the question, Natalie Dormer jumps up immediately.
"I'll take this one because I stood next to Jennifer Lawrence for nine months as an actress watching another actress, and I stood by her as Cressida watching Katniss. Jen was saying Katniss doesn't have an ego, nor does Jennifer Lawrence. The reason Katniss is so compelling to an audience and charismatic is because she's true to herself, and doesn't suffer the bullshit and superficial elements. You (points at Jennifer) just said think for yourself, act for yourself. Jen's getting that reputation as a young actress and she deserves it. That's why people look up to her. She's a great role model and so is Katniss Everdeen. They're simpatico in that, and she can't comment on that herself because, by the very nature of her personality, she wouldn't."
As any humble human being would, Jennifer Lawrence blushed profusely. It was the cutest scene from the whole press conference. Actually being there and watching Natalie speak in that beautiful English accent, about Jen, was so heart warming and sincere.
It seems Jennifer really is a pretty down to earth kind of girl. She even takes selfies peeing in a meadow...
Will Jennifer's fame peak at some point? From the way she conducts herself and from what her co-stars have endorsed her, I'd say not. Let's just hope she misses the curse many young actors and actress get when it comes to mental break downs. Until then, and even still, we love you Jennifer. You keep doing you.
