About half way through the first season of Marvel's [Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.](series:722469), fans have been making rumors about the race and origins of the mysterious blue alien that was used to save Skye's and Coulson's life. Most of them thought he might be a member of the Kree race, or perhaps an Inhuman...but could he actually be something nobody guessed?

it's been confirmed that the picture right above this article is officially a member of the Kree race. TV Guide had an exclusive interview with Executive Producer Jeffrey Bell sheds some light.

"Our people don't know anything about the Kree or that there's a planet full of them," he tells the site. "What they do know is that the strange carvings created by Coulson after he was injected with the Kree serum are actually the map of a city, and they need to find that city before Hydra does. But where is it? Here or on another planet?"

The Kree have been a huge part of Marvel comics for many years, and recently made it into the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Guardians Of The Galaxy when the main villain of the movie, Ronan the Accuser, was a member of the Kree race. In the comics, the Kree play a huge part in the Inhumans origin. The Kree built the hometown of the Inhumans, Attilan, and It looks like Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. is paving the way to [The Inhumans](movie:910490) movie and Guardians of the Galaxy 2.
