# contest Stanley Kubrick was and is one of the greatest directors to have lived. He pushed the envelope on all his movies. He was a man that was not happy with one or two takes, he would do take after take until he thought that it was perfect and then one more because he just wanted to be sure. He defended the violence in his movies and believed in the paranormal. When filming "A Clockwork Orange", he defended his depiction of violence and when filming "The Shining", he allowed the actors the ability to expand the script and issued new pages each day. You will never find another director like Kubrick in this day and time, His movies will always be the greatest movies ever made.
