People have often said that the television series, Game of Thrones, has the production value of a major motion picture.
It seems the producers have taken that compliment to heart, as it seems an actual Game of Thrones movie could be a possibility. During an interview with The Daily Beast, Charles Dance - who plays Tywin Lannister in the fantasy drama - discusses the possibility of a Game of Thrones film. He stated:
There’s talk of eventually trying to do a feature film, but I don’t know which of the storylines. There’s so much to cram into a film.
Of course, it's anyone's guess what this actual film could look like. Could it act as a finale for the TV series, could it feature an unrelated storyline, perhaps even a prequel?
To be honest, the success of a Game of Thrones film would probably depend partly on it featuring much loved characters from the TV series. With that in mind, I can imagine it will be intrinsically linked to the storylines that develop on television.
Having said that, I wouldn't mind seeing Sean Bean return for a prequel based on King Robert's rebellion. What do you think?
Should Game of Thrones get a movie?
