Yes, Microsoft has now finally officially confirmed HBO Go's release on Xbox One. It's available now for your streaming and downloading pleasure!

Gamerson Xbox One can now enjoy instant access to over 1700 programs including HBO original series, Hollywood hits, sports, documentaries, comedy specials and more. HBO GO lets you watch online, and the HBO GO app brings it straight to select tablets, mobile devices, streaming players, smart TVs and of course game consoles.

Want access to HBO films, like Behind the Candelabra, plus dozens of Hollywood hits, classic movies and children's titles, to watch anywhere you like? HBO GO on Xbox One gives you that and more!

The app features both Kinect voice and gesture control, at this time you must have a paid channel subscription but HBO CEO Richard Plepler recently announced that the company will launch a stand-alone streaming service in 2015, so viewers can enjoy all HBO has to offer without a cable or a satellite package.

HBO Go joins Microsoft's existing library of media offerings including Netflix, Hulu Plus and Amazon Instant Video for the Xbox One, which retails for $350 in the US after Microsoft announced a temporary $50 price cut until the end of the year.

After Netflix, HBO Go is one of the most sought-after media options for consumers deciding which of the many streaming device options to purchase. Amazon's recently released Fire TV Stick doesn't have HBO Go support, in contrast to Google's competing Chromecast, and illustrates the difficulties even big companies like Amazon have in securing streaming rights to HBO shows and movies.

HBO GO aims to be released on the Playstation 4 later in the year or now maybe early next.
