On July 17th of next year, Warner Brothers will release their take on the Peter Pan story with Pan. Shown above is Hugh Jackman in costume as Blackbeard the pirate, released by Entertainment Weekly just hours ago. It seems like the costume designer was going for a Spanish-Conquistador style outfit here, with detailed metal armor and elegant feathers around the collar..

In addition to Jackman, the cast will also include big names Garrett Hedlund as Captain James Hook, Rooney Mara as Princess Tiger Lilly, and Amanda Seyfried.

Jackman's character isn't the only one Entertainment Weekly is showing off. The first poster of newcomer Levi Miller as Peter Pan was revealed as well with a movie still and a poster.

Believe it or not, this isn't the first time Hollywood has tried rebooting the story of Peter Pan. In 2003, Universal released Peter Pan, starring Jeremy Sumpter as Peter and Jason Isaacs as Captain Hook. While it received positive reviews, the movie performed poorly at the box office, with a worldwide gross of $100 million against a $121 million budget.

Hopefully with an all-star cast and acclaimed director Joe Wright (2005's Pride & Prejudice, Atonement) at the helm, [Pan](movie:1173941) will fly much higher financially than Peter Pan did eleven years ago.
