Well those fans of Attack on Titan I not only bring you news about the live-action movies but also news on season 2! Yes you heard right! The wait is finally OVER!

Firstly the live-action movies. They have hit us with not 1 but 13 character posters for the movie feature. So we not only know which characters we will be seeing but also who will be playing the parts.

Haruma Miura will be taking the lead role of Eren.

We will see Kiko Mizuhara playing his adopted sister Mikasa and Kanata Hongo playing their childhood friend Armin.

With these three being the main trio of the whole franchise you can easily see they have considered the actors ability not to just act the part but look the part. It is interesting they have not made Kanata go blonde to make him like the Armin we have seen in the anime. But this is not uncommon when adapting a manga/anime into a live-action franchise.

We will also have the pleasure of seeing Hiroki Hasegawa play Shikishima, Takahiro Miura as Jean, Nanami Sakuraba as Sasha, Satoru Matsuo as Sannagi, Satomi Ishihara as Hans, Pierre Taki as Souda, Jun Kunimura as Kubal, Rina Takeda as Lil, Shu Watanabe as Fukushi and Ayame Misaki as Hianna.

One thing that is clear is that the outfits look amazing and if the backgrounds in the images are anything to go by, these films will be full of the action we are itching to see. It is interesting however that a couple of characters are not holding the famous blades from the franchise, suggesting we could see new weapons and techniques being used to cripple titans before the killing blow. It also appears that the movies will be taking place in a world where motor vehicles are being used given the truck in Souda's character poster and the multi-storey car parking lot in the background of a couple of the others.

Now for the anime! It is offical! We are getting a second series. However before you jump up and down celebrating, it will not be airing until 2016! Yeah I know, I was excited and then instantly depressed seeing we will not get it next year. But at least we are getting a second series, and this has not turned into another series like Highschool of the Dead which never got the second series that was promised.

This delay is most likely due to many factors. The first being the manga itself. Where they have followed the manga so closely, they simply need to wait for more of the manga to be released so they actually have the story to use. The second is the live-action franchise which starts hitting cinemas next year. They are also converting the first series into two animated movies, so there is another speed bump. Then the final reason is next year we will receive two OVAs covering the prequel manga for us to enjoy.

So even though the second series of [Attack on Titan](movie:1001874) is two years away we still have plenty of titan action to bite down on to keep us happy.
