The horror genre has already had you scared of everything from mirrors to slightly ajar doors, and now it's time it had you petrified of the internet.
MTV has just released a trailer for their upcoming cyber-thriller-horror, Eye Candy. Executive produced by Twilight's Catherine Hardwicke and Jason Blum (Insidious, Paranormal Activity), the story is based on a book by R.L. Stine. You remember him right? That guy who wrote those Goosebumps books we all read as kids. Check out the first teaser trailer below:
The series stars Victoria Justice and centers on a beautiful but reclusive hacker whose blog exposes everything from terrorist plots to suspected killers. Convinced by her roommate to begin online dating, Lindy (Justice) is targeted by a dangerous cyberstalker and believes one of her suitors to be the culprit. When things take a deadly turn, she teams up with the city’s cyber-crime unit to catch the killer.
If Hardwicke's Twilight credit didn't particularly impress you, you should also know she helmed Thirteen and the Lords of Dogtown, if that's more to your taste.
The 10 part series will premiere on MTV on January 12th.
