Good news, Attack on Titan fans! Not only are we set to see a live action adaptation of the legendary manga - set to arrive next summer - but we're also going to (finally) get to see a second season of the awesome anime series, too.

Scheduled to arrive sometime in 2016, Attack on Titan's second season will hopefully deliver yet more of the epic, Titan-opposing action we've come to know and love - as well, perhaps, as the growing levels of engrossing political subterfuge that the manga is famous for.

The big question, though, is whether the second series can actually live up to the awesomeness of the first. After all, it's proved to be one of the most successful crossovers to the US of any recent manga or anime, and that sort of critical and commercial success brings a whole heap of expectation with it.

With a bit of luck, though, it'll live up to the classic standards of its predecessor - and either way, I'm very much looking forward to 2016, and finding out...

What do you guys think, though?

Excited for season 2?
