In a recent magazine interview, actor Norman Reedus has stated that he cried for an HOUR in preparation to shoot [The Walking Dead](series:201193)'s season 5 mid-finale! So now I'm feeling a little concerned as to what upset him so much - and how will the fan base react?
"I sat on an apple box with my head between my legs and just bawled for an hour. I really wanted to not tear up during the scene, I wanted it to be like I wasted every tear in my body before we started shooting, so I just sat there and cried and cried and cried."
So what is it that was so upsetting for the actor during shooting? Well, I'll take a stab in the dark. Reedus' character Daryl Dixon has been through a lot over the past 4 1/2 seasons - and unfortunately it's not about to get any easier for him. With his two best on camera friends (and possibly love interests) Carol and Beth trapped inside Grady Memorial Hospital, I can only guess one of them is going to be killed off.
I'm thinking that perhaps the show producers have decided to do something as drastic as killing off Beth or Carol, possibly just to stop the whole 'Bethyl' and 'Caryl' thing, but you never know. What we can tell from his statement is that something devastating is going to happen, and I'm a bit freaked out about it.
*Crosses fingers* - Maybe that won't happen.... hopefully it won't happen! Because knowing myself, I'd probably sit and cry for an hour if either Carol or Beth (....especially Carol) were killed off... which is pretty sad when you think about it, but what the heck. Series creator Robert Kirkman has also previously said that the mid-season finale is going to be deadly, so I'm just going to grab my box of tissues, and prepare for the worst.
