There are a lot of expectations placed upon this game's shoulders! Let's face it, the Dragon Ball games have been disappointing Dragon Ball Z fans for quite some time, maybe even since the days of the PS2! But with all that this game has set out to accomplish, I feel like we may be in store for a return to form.

The latest information we have for Dragonball: Xenoverse comes in the form of some awesome new screenshots, and a trailer that is set to blow your mind! I mean, it's in Japanese, and their trailers are all incredible! Have you seen Arnold Schwarzenegger's Japanese ad?! Well it's as crazy as this.

Awesome new Dragonball: Xenoverse Screenshots

The latest screenshots for Dragonball: Xenoverse show us just how great this game looks, let's hope that its outstanding art style is met with a combat system that feels good and a story worthy of the franchise. With the addition of you being able to create your own character, I feel like this could be a game to hang on to.

Let's see what these new images can tell us about the game!

First up, the most noticeable addition to the line-up is a whopping 60 foot ape! Long before every member of the Saiyan race and their mothers could turn their hair yellow, these beings found their ultimate form when a full moon turned them into a giant monkey. What was once a fun little gag for kid Goku suddenly became a dangerous weapon in the first saga of Dragon Ball Z when Vegeta morphed into this form and wrecked havoc on the surviving Z-fighters.

Now you can fight against him in the game, even as your own customised character! A 60 foot ape?! I'll take that, thank you very much!

We also get a first look at Majin Buu in the game and how he interacts with Beerus from the most recent movie. No doubt it is being treated as canon for this release, and Goku is going to be able to turn into a Super Saiyan God. By that logic, everyone else should be able to as well, I mean we don't want to leave any fans behind in Goku’s wake.

Are you all set to finally bring a version of yourself into the world of Dragonball? What is it that you're looking forward to the most? I for one just can't wait to have my room filled with insane hectic screaming of the amazing Japanese characters. Did anyone ever play Asura's Wrath? That game didn't get enough attention, it was insanely enjoyable.

Out of interest, what console are people going for with Dragon Ball: Xenoverse? Are you still sticking with the good old PS3 or Xbox 360? Or have you made the progression to the other side now? Or perhaps you're a PC gamer through and through? Let us know in the comments!
