First off, I need to explain my extremely late and...late...reaction to the announcement by 20th Century Fox about the Deadpool set for 2016.

Oh, if you haven't heard yet, then I should probably tell you that 20th Century Fox just announced that they'll be releasing a Deadpool movie in 2016.

(and also, if you haven't heard, then **** you)

Where was I when this beautiful news echoed throughout the hallways of the Earth (if there were no buildings on Earth, apparently there would be hallways)? I was in my room in front of my shrine to Deadpool, muttering things noone else could hear or understand, constantly having conversations with those text boxes that follow me everywhere -- one white with extremely conservatively boring font, and one yellow with much more "liveliness" to it.

It took me long enough, but when I finally came out of my coma, I...well, nothing really changed. I'm still obsessed with Deadpool, just like I was before. The comics are still AWESOME, the videogame is still AWESOME, not only do I play it a lot, but I also listen to an mp3 of the full gameplay and all cutscenes on my iPod, I watch the test footage every day, I read the comics every day -- And did I mention that shrine? Yeah, big picture of Deadpool, with battery operated candles (I don't want a fire anywhere near my babies (comics)). Yeah. People say we're crazy -- I mean I'm crazy.

So, Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool? We need Cable to fall out of the sky and give a thumbs up (high pitched *ding*). Oooh oooh oooh Cable in Deadpool anyone? That would be awesome, considering that, well Cable and Deadpool are tight in the comcis, and then that way there's one more story going on when Civil War comes along. (For those of you who don't know, Cable and Deadpool had a quite extensive run in the comics together, even before their own series. "Cable and Deadpool" was an awesome series. As the events of Civil War came to light, Cable and Deadpool disagreed -- a lot -- to the poin where they were torn apart, and the amazing partnership broke up. If you don't know what Civil War is, go look somewhere else, I'm getting tired of typing.)

Cable -- you gotta love him.

I just wonder if they'll do the whole tragedy behind the comedy thing. That's not necessarily a bad thing...I don't know. I don't care if they do or not. If they did, it would give a little more support to the character, and a reasonable back story. If they didn't, then it would be fun for unknowing viewers to do some homework, and people who already know, good for you. You don't really need a backstory for this guy, but after X-Men Origins: Wolverine, I have a feeling that some people are gonna be pretty confused.

"Isn't his moutch sewn shut?" -- Never! Well, in that movie, it was.

"Isn't he messed up in the mind?" -- Yes. Yes he is.

"Wait, didn't he have giant fricken swords sticking out of his arms?"
-- (sigh) Yes...yes he did.

So, whether they have a backstory in the movie or not, I highly reccomend doing some "homework" on our lovable regenerative degenerate; our merc with a mouth; wade wilson, our very own: DEADPOOL!!!!!!!!!!
