Supergirl is getting her own TV show. Yes, you read that right. The announcement came from CBS on September 18. The series will feature the most popular iteration of the female caped Kryptonian, Kara Zor-El. Caped Kryptonian Kara Zor-El. Try to say THAT five times fast. Caped Kryptonian Kara Zor-El, caped Kryptonian...oh right. Back to the news.
The story will start when Kara begins to use her powers apparently. The idea of it is that since arriving on Earth, Kara's been hiding her powers. When she turns 24 years old though, she decides to be the hero she was always meant to be.
Greg Berlanti ([Arrow](series:720988)Arrow[Arrow](series:720988), The Flash among others) and Ali Adler (No Ordinary Family) will be bringing us Supergirl. I couldn't be more excited. However, it brings up another question. A burning question of mine. One that is embarrassingly shallow, yet important just the same. Which outfit will they use?
The Super sign is very stylized, and the crotch patch is very awkward. However, it does have the look of armour, which is good. The cape looks like it would totally get in the way though.
A mini-skirt. Supergirl's main power is flight after all. Whose idea was it to give her a mini-skirt again? The outfit doesn't look like it would protect Kara very well, but then she is basically indestructible so how much would that matter?
The outfit is a huge part of how a character will be seen, so it stands to reason they're probably already thinking about this. What about you? Which one? Or is there another option you see? Vote on the poll, share your thoughts down below!
