Paramount is currently filming Paranormal Activity 5: The Ghost Dimension, and it's gonna boldly go where no other Paranormal Activity has gone before: it'll be released in 3D.

This might raise a few eyebrows in the horror community - how is 3D meant to merge with found footage? Still, despite personal reservations about this fancy, new-fangled 3D business, I do think that the horror genre is quite fitting for 3D technology.

It's great seeing a blade or a blood-splatter flying out of the screen towards you, and the fun campiness of horror is more forgiving of the inherent silliness of 3D than other genres.

I loved My Bloody Valentine 3D and am currently rocking a giant Nurse 3D poster on my wall - though that may have more to do with my interest in butt-naked Paz de la Huerta than an admiration for 3D mastery...
