We have about 195 days until Jurassic World stomps onto cinemas screens worldwide, says the Jurassic World official site which has thankfully gone live a lot sooner!
I say thankfully because I can't wait 195 days! 195 days is a long time, I need something to quench my terrible lizard sized thirst for Jurassic Peril! Or at least control it for a while, and I think the site may be just the remedy.
Welcome To Jurassic World
There's nothing quite like the idea of throwing hundreds of wholesome and affluent families together on an island full of humongous and wild lizards, that will either stomp on you or seek you out as a lovely two-legged snack.
An idea that has spread joy and fear for over twenty years since we first laid eyes on the terrifying combination of the T-Rex and a sexy Jeff Goldblum...
Man, this brings back old memories, but I can't remember if I hid behind the sofa from the T-Rex's attack or the glistening pecs of the Goldblum. No I think it was definitely old faithful, the baddest dinosaur in the house! Give it up for...
I was worried for a while whether they would have included the old girl, but as images on the website suggest - there's life in the old fossil yet!
She looks phenomenal and I cannot wait to see what they have in store for her!
The Online Jurassic World
The official website includes lots of interactive links, headers and infographics detailing the day's goings on in the resort, such as temperature (which as writing is at a solid 27 degrees, how lovely!), park capacity and wait time for the various dino-themed expos and expeditions for people to be disemboweled - I mean -disembark on.
The clickable options include a homage to our very own Jurassic Pa, John Hammond (Richard Attenborough)... who looks bit like Lester from GTA V...
...Safety first which details the rules to having a safe and fun visit, Dinosaurs, which is...well..., the movie, news feed and the mysterious Masrani Corporation who linger behind the operation of the new resort. Let's have a closer look shall we?
Select A Dinosaur To Explore
So far there are unfortunately only three dinosaurs to look at on the site, being...
What part will you play...?
Only the second best zord!
And the aforementioned, legendary
I'm guessing we'll get more of an insight into the cast of dinos as we get closer to the movie's release.
Here's the interactive map of Isla Nublar, looking all isolated and terrifying in the face of a potential cataclysmic event.
The purple icons indicate utilities and facilities, the blue ones are for the varied exciting events.
Hilton Isla Nublar Resort
This lovely little viral video sets up the decadent, idyllic way of life that the dinosaurs will, most definitely, pose a great threat to. The Hilton Isla Nublar is a little slice of paradise situated in paradise for those who can afford luxury paradise!
And will probably act as a manicured and mud bathed buffet for any carnivorous wild lizards that happen across it. Check it out!
All in all, the official site is a sleek, well crafted advert for one of the biggest movie events of next year. I'm well looking forward to venturing back through those hallowed gates, are you? Check out the Jurassic World official site for yourself and feel the waves of excitement flood your cells!
