JOSEPH J CAPRICCIOSO, an author based in Staten Island, NY has allegedly been approached by BBC executives to write a script for the ninth series of Doctor Who, which is set to air next Autumn starring Peter Capaldi as The Doctor and Jenna Coleman as Clara Oswald.

Incredibly reliable sources have revealed to us that Capriccioso, a long time Doctor Who fan and author of over ten books, including the hugely successful Sorrow of Seperation series, is apparently elated to now be fulfilling his life long dream and cannot wait to bring his creative ideas into the world of Doctor Who.

The author has been a fan of the show since he was a child, growing up on Tom Baker and Peter Davison.

Joseph, who currently resides in Staten Island, New York with his girlfriend and kids has been writing books and screenplays for many years. It is said that the renowned poet has been brought into the series to address the darker tone of Series 8, which brought in many complaints from parents.

The twelve part series, which will air in Autumn 2015, is rumoured to be Steven Moffat's last as showrunner.
