"[Frozen](movie:411685) 2" is coming!
Though there has been no confirmation from Disney yet, Idina Menzel, the star who voices Elsa - and vocalist for the "Let It Go" song from the film that was a phenomenon all by itself - appeared to confirm a sequel to the fifth-highest grossing film of all-time worldwide is being planned.
In an interview with "The Telegraph", Menzel responded to a question regarding rumors of upcoming "Frozen" projects including a big screen sequel, a Broadway stage musical and a six-minute short supposedly due to appear in cinemas this Christmas: "They're all in the works".
In the interview, Menzel said she was unlikely to be involved in the theater production, but fully expects to be invited back to voice Elsa on the big screen.
“Not the stage show – I don’t know what will happen with that – but the movie hopefully. We’ll see. I’m just going along for the ride,” she told "The Telegraph".
During the interview, the 43-year old Menzel, who has been a Broadway star for many years, said she is still amazed that she is now approached by young girls who recognize her as the singer of "Let It Go" and other "Frozen" anthems:
“I remember some of those classic Disney songs from movies, and you knew the character but you didn’t know the person behind the song. But this is different, this is weird,” she said.
“I can’t give any tips on how to sing Let It Go because I barely can sing it sometimes. It’s really hard. I can’t wake up in the morning and just sing it.
“I guess my advice is that everyone who likes to sing it should sing it loud and proud and karaoke it out, sing it in the shower, sing it in the car and don’t worry about hitting the high notes.”
