When it comes to tattoos, it's no surprise that there are thousands of amazing Star Wars pieces out there (in a galaxy far far...wait). With the new trilogy inching ever closer to our screens (and the trailer for The Force Awakens already on them), I'm sure that many more fans will be heading to tattoo shops to announce their fandom love on their skin. Above we have what appears to be the first such example of this, featuring the new spherically powered droid seen in the trailer.

Now, there are lots of the classics: incredibly detailed portraits, beautiful full color sleeves, and I'm including one or two of those as well, but my personal favorites are the ones that aren't just skillfully executed; I love the ones that are mash ups, new takes, generally fun and interesting variations on the usual themes, so those are the ones that I've tried to feature here.
