The Vampire Diaries showrunner, Julie Plec, has spoken out about the end of our favorite CW show, but there's no need for us fans to be quaking in our boots just yet!
Despite rumors that one of the main cast members could leave at the end of season 6, Plec remain steadfastly positive. She explained to FanBolt that:
Right now I feel like we’re in a really good creative groove. The show feels really good, and we all as writers, and the actors, are really jazzed about the content and excited about the stories that we’re telling. In a way, it’s come back around to season one in terms of its feeling and grounding it all in relationships and characters – and suspense and tension. So I feel like we can keep going. We’ve got people ready and willing to keep going
So, if all of the actors are willing to extend their time in Mystic Falls, what does [The Vampire Diaries](series:200853) big boss think will be the end for the show?
According to Plec, everything boils down to Elena's character because, as I've said before, she is the glue that holds the series together. She explained:
I don’t really want to talk about the end game of Elena’s character. I think that is the end game of the series. I don’t want to give that up
