A feature-film "remix" of the original horror classic Nosferatu starring Doug Jones as the infamous Count Orlok!
The original, Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror, was the first vampire tale ever filmed, and is widely considered the cornerstone of horror cinema. Shot in 1921 and directed by F.W. Murnau, the film was an unauthorized adaptation of Bram Stoker's Dracula. Upon its release, Stoker's widow ordered all copies of the film burned. Fortunately a single print survived.
Actor Max Shrek's iconic performance as the terrifying Count Orlok - along with universal themes of fear, sacrifice, and the triumph of good over evil - is still as haunting as it was over ninety-years ago. The film is highly revered not only by film buffs, but modern horror fans worldwide.
Our new vision of Orlok will be played by legendary makeup FX actor, Doug Jones. Jones is famous for his roles such as Abe Sapien in HellBoy, the Silver Surfer in Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer, the Faun and the Pale Man in Pan's Labyrinth, The Gentlemen in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and currently as the alien Cochise on Falling Skies.
The Nosferatu "remix" is looking to fund itself through a Kickstarter campaign. So, if you want to see the incredibly talented Doug Jones bring Nosferatu out of the grainy shadows and into the 21st century, support the campaign here!
