What do you know? After less than a day of earlier reports, Warner Bros. have announced a solid cast list for David Ayer's Suicide Squad. As predicted the likes of Leto and Hardy have been confirmed but not for the role we originally thought. There's also an added dose of Will Smith who has taken a role further up the titular team than originally rumoured.

As it goes Jared Leto will be giving his take on The Joker in David Ayer's villainous volume, and Margot Robbie will be crazy in love with him as Harley Quinn. However, Divergent star Jai Courtney won't be playing Deadshot as was previously presumed; instead that'll be going to Will Smith, who is on board after all. As for the star of Terminator: Genisys, Courtney will be picking up Captain Boomerang (fitting for the Aussie-bred actor).

Here as they say, is where the plot thickens with the news that Hardy is set to take the role of Rick Flagg, who will most likely lead them into their debut and deadly mission. Polishing off this team of villains is Cara Delevinge as Enchantress.

Currently there’s no further details on the role of Amanda Waller; the Nick Fury-esque head of operations aka The Wall. Everyone from Oprah Winfrey to Octavia Spencer has been pinned to the part briefly but Variety is reporting that Winfrey is in the lead to win the role.

So there we have, our team of not-so-nice guys and gals are signed and sealed for one helluva comic book romp. What do you make of the choices? Are they suited for the job? Or do you think there could’ve been better cast members to send to their deaths - in the theatrical sense, of course. Sound off in the comments below.
