We’ve seen a still and some character artwork for Terminator Genisys and now Paramount Pictures has debuted a motion poster for the upcoming Terminator Genisys. In addition, the studio has confirmed that the first trailer for the film will debut this Thursday, so check back here to see the first footage from the upcoming reboot!

Check out the new [Terminator Genisys](movie:34872) Motion Poster:

The trailer doesn’t hit the web until Thursday, but this motion poster actually serves as a solid piece of promotional material to hold us over until it arrives. To be honest, it took me a quick moment to realize that the sand effect was meant to mimic an hourglass sand timer, probably representing both a countdown for the trailer release and the time jump in the movie, but regardless, the image is strikingly crisp and the background music is quite rousing, too.

First Teaser Trailer:

The first trailer for Terminator Genisys hits tomorrow, but a 15-second tease has just arrived. Take a look:

Here's the New Trailer for Terminator: Genisys:

Paramount Pictures and Skydance Pictures have unveiled the first trailer for Terminator: Genisys.

Terminator 5 Plot:

According to reports, Genisys proposes that Sarah was orphaned at age 9 by a Terminator, and was since brought up by another Terminator, played by Schwarzenegger, programmed to protect her. Sarah would then have been trained by this Terminator to face her destiny, which she adamantly tries to reject.

And the EW‘s synopsis of the film is here:

The beginning of Terminator: Genisys, the first of three planned films that Paramount hopes will relaunch the beloved sci-fi franchise, is set in 2029, when the Future War is raging and a group of human rebels has the evil artificial-intelligence system Skynet on the ropes. John Connor (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes‘ Jason Clarke) is the leader of the resistance, and Kyle Reese (Divergent‘s Jai Courtney) is his loyal soldier, raised in the ruins of postapocalyptic California. As in the original film, Connor sends Reese back to 1984 to save Connor’s mother, Sarah, from a Terminator programmed to kill her so she won’t ever give birth to John. But what Reese finds on the other side is nothing like what he expected.

Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Clarke, Emilia Clarke, Jai Courtney, J.K. Simmons, Dayo Okeniyi, Byung Hun Lee and Matt Smith, Terminator Genisys is directed by Thor: The Dark World‘s Alan Taylor from a screenplay by Laeta Kalogridis and Patrick Lussier.

Be sure to check back for the Terminator Genisys trailer on Thursday, December 4th!

Terminator Genisys will hit theaters on July 1, 2015.
