It's been over 12 years since Paul W.S. Anderson released the first film of the hugely successful Resident Evil franchise. Since then a further four films have been made, with a sixth installment planned for 2016.
The first films starred a host of celebrities who have since gone on to do amazing things and launch very successful careers.

Milla Jovovich aka Alice
The face of the Resident Evil franchise, Jovovich has starred in all five Resident Evil films and will appear in the upcoming installment in 2016. Aside from her role as Alice, Jovovich appeared in Face in the Crowd in 2011, Cymbeline in 2014 and will soon appear in Survivor which will be released in September 2015.
Michelle Rodriguez aka Rain Ocampo
Since her role as Rain, Michelle Rodriguez has established herself as the go-to girl in action films. Most famous for her role as Letty Ortiz in the Fast and Furious franchise, she will soon appear in the seventh film. Rodriguez was also in Avatar, Machete Kills and TV series Lost.
Eric Mabius aka Matt Addison
After Resident Evil, Eric Mabius found success in TV series, appearing on The O.C. as Dean Jack Hess, The L Word as Tim Haspel and as Daniel Meade in his most famous role on TV series Ugly Betty. Most recently Mabius has starred in TV series and TV movie Signed, Sealed, Delivered.
James Purefoy aka Spence Parks
James Purefoy has starred in TV series Rome as Mark Antony, Kantos Kan in Disney film John Carter and Joe Carroll in The Following. He is currently filming an action thriller called Momentum due for released in 2015.
Colin Salmon aka James "One" Shade
Colin Salmon has most recently starred in TV series Arrow, 24: Live Another Day and is currently filming No Offence, a TV series in which he will play the role of detective superintendent Darren Maclaren.
Martin Crewes aka Chad Kaplan
Martin Crewes has had a steady but quiet career compared to many of his co-stars in Resident Evil. He appeared in TV movies Mile High in 2004 and Scarlett in 2006, as well as the TV series Crownies as Jimmy Butcher in 2011. His currently project, a short film called Stockholm is to be released in 2015.
