2014 has been a year for some really great movies! There have been so many incredible movies but there were a few that really stood out. After asking fans what they thought the best movies of this past year were I compiled a list of the Top 10 Movies of 2014. Take a look and see what fans think the best movies of the year are.

Number 10- If I Stay

If I Stay was a moving, heartbreaking and just beautiful story. Definitely the best tearjerker of the year. Chloe Grace Moretz did such an amazing job in this movie, I always say, for someone who's so young her acting is incredible. If I Stay will have you smiling, but at the same time it will have you in tears, and I can guarantee, this movie will have your heart breaking.

Number 9- 22 Jump Street

Once again Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill brought humor to the big screen in a really big way. 22 Jump Street did have it's classic moments however it still can't be compared to the first, but it was absolutely hilarious! Definitely one of the funniest movies of the year.

Number 8- Interstellar

Interstellar was a fantastic movie full of action and lots of different emotions, it was completely captivating. The entire cast did an incredible job of making us feel every emotion they did. The story itself is amazing. This movie will leave you breathless, literally, as the special effects will make you will feel as though you are right there in outer space with them.

Number 7- Guardians Of The Galaxy

Guardians Of The Galaxy was one of the most fun and exciting movies of the year and it was way better than fans expected it to be. Also it was full of hilarity which made it a movie you can really enjoy.

Number 6- X Men Days of Future Past

Xmen Days of Futures Past was an intense and exciting movie. Yet another Marvel movie that was worth the wait. With a great story and amazing special effects the newest Xmen movie was epic in every way!

Number 5- Captain America: Winter Soldier

The second Captain America movie was full of suspense. With new enemies and old friends the adventure never stopped and neither did the action. Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson both did an amazing job of kicking ass in this movie.

Number 4- Divergent

Divergent was just an exceptionally good film, the action never stopped and neither did the romance. It really was a great movie with some crazy stunts and awesome fight scenes. Shailene Woodley and Theo James both gave amazing performances and they made a great action duo.

Number 3- The Fault In Our Stars

Fault In Our Stars was definitely the best Drama of the year as I'm sure everyone who watched it will agree. I must've gone through a ton of tissues while watching it. With heart wrenching performances by Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort, this touching, beautiful movie based on the best selling novel takes third place!

Number 2- Mockingjay part 1

The latest installment of The Hunger Games saga did a fantastic job of bringing the world of Panem to life. Josh Hutcherson's heart wrenching performance as the now hijacked Peeta and Liam Hemsworth as Gale is really something to see. With a brilliant score and magnificent cinematography this intense, action packed movie was truly perfect!

and finally, the top movie of 2014....

Number 1- The Maze Runner

A heart pounding, thrilling adventure filled with mystery and intrigue! This movie will transport you away from a land of reality and into the Maze itself. This movie will bring out almost every emotion you have, suspense, curiosity, excitement, fear and sadness. Every aspect of the movie was done to perfection, the action, the story, the cinematography, the special effects and the acting. With a truly mind blowing performance by Dylan O'Brien and spectacular performances by Will Poulter, Thomas Sangster and Ki Hong Lee. The first movie of The Maze Runner trilogy takes first place!

There you have it! My list of the top 10 movies of the year. 2014 will definitely be remembered as one of the best years for movies because every single one of these movies was brilliant.
