Earlier this year we heard the awesome news that there will be a whole bunch of new Twilight films coming to Facebook sometime soon! As a Twihard from way back this news was like music to my ears, and after I read this pretty convincing fan theory about Bella over on Cracked, I'm hoping perhaps one of the new films might explore it.

Despite the Twilight saga being four books and five movies long, there are still a lot of unanswered, or unsatisfactorily answered, questions. For instance, why can't Edward read Bella's thoughts? Or how did Bella get pregnant with Renesmee? And why is Renesmee unable to be seen on baby scans? We basically get told it's because Bella is 'special' but I much prefer this theory:

Bella Is Part werewolf.

Whoa whoa, put down the pitchforks and listen to why this theory makes sense.

It Explains Why Vampires' Gifts Go Haywire Around Bella

Twilight repeatedly tells us that vampire powers are rendered useless when werewolves are around. Alice especially had problems being in the proximity of the wolves because she couldn't receive any visions. If Bella was part werewolf this would go a long way to explaining why no vampire's powers really work on Bella.

It Could Explain Why Bella Could Have A Half Vampire Child

If vampire powers went haywire around Bella because of her werewolf heritage, this could explain why she was able to get pregnant by a vampire. This part of the Twilight saga really bugged me — Edward had been dead for many many years, yet some how still managed to impregnate his mortal partner. Perhaps there was something in Bella's part-werewolf DNA that made a pregnancy between two people with supernatural DNA possible.

Is This The Reason Jacob Had The Hots For Bella & Imprinted On Renesmee?

Could the animal attraction of a werewolf and a part-werewolf be the reason why Jacob was so attracted to Bella? Especially considering Jacob didn't know he was a werewolf until New Moon, it could have been all down to the genetics. This would also be a good reason as to why Jacob imprints on Renesmee — it's natural instinct!

So there you have it, what do you think? Yes, I'll admit there are gaps in the theory — like Nahuel and his sisters also being hybrids — but we didn't really learn all that much about him. Who's to say that there couldn't possibly be werewolf — or some other supernatural species heritage in his family? I'm willing to give this theory a bit of leeway, after all, it would inject so much more into the franchise.

Do you think Bella could possibly be part werewolf?
